ABOUT Hinoe / 01—0601First appearance and background
Hinoe is a female yokai from the manga and a curse user appearing in the 2008 first anime season. The card records that debut; she is not a human schoolmate.
02Personality and appeal
Her dislike of men and sharp teasing do not make hostility her only trait. Affection for Reiko and concern for Natsume give her a warmer side.
03Story journey
She knew Reiko and later meets the book’s inheritor, Natsume. Curse expertise brings experience and help in yokai incidents without making her an all-purpose solution.
04Relationships
The official profile states she loved Reiko and likes Natsume partly because he resembles her. They are not the same person; Hinoe is not established as his relative or romantic partner.
05Versions and visual identity
An indigo wavy bob, bangs covering one eye, white hair accessory and kimono identify her. Photographic-style portraits reinterpret a yokai design, not a canon human actor.
06Fan interpretations
Fan interpretation: when Hinoe teases Natsume, is she also remembering Reiko? This reads layered emotion and is not evidence of reincarnation.
