ABOUT Shizuku Murasaki / 01—0601First appearance and background
Shizuku debuts in chapter 71, collected in Japanese volume 8 released April 4, 2000. Her first anime appearances are episode 51 of the 1999 series and episode 41 of the 2011 series. These illustrations follow the 2011 appearance while retaining the manga year.
02Personality and appeal
Calm and forgetful, she sometimes says startling things in a flat voice. Forgetting names or recent interactions creates comedy without implying an absence of judgment. In Troupe operations she follows rules and carries out tasks with composure.
03Story journey
A Conjurer, she materializes the vacuum Blinky. It cannot inhale living things or objects made of Nen, and only the last object absorbed can be returned; it is not an unlimited storage system. Cleanup and removal of foreign material make her valuable to the Troupe.
04Relationships
Chrollo is the leader; Machi, Pakunoda and Shalnark are fellow members. Her arm-wrestling encounter with Gon does not establish friendship or romance. Internal trust coexists with the Troupe’s criminal conduct, so forgetfulness should not be equated with harmlessness.
05Versions and visual identity
Messy black hair, black-framed glasses, a black turtleneck and jeans identify her. Her eyes are plum in the 2011 anime and brown in the 1999 version; this set uses the former. Photographic and toy portraits are fan interpretations, not official casting or products.
06Fan interpretations
Blank “what was that?” looks, forgetful confusion and deadpan refusal suit her reactions. Hesitation behind her glasses creates humor, but constant broad laughter would lose her reserved rhythm. Blinky can serve as a visual cue without adding language-specific text.
