ABOUT Abiko Samejima / 01—0601First appearance and background
Abiko Samejima comes from Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari’s manga Oshi no Ko and is explicitly identified in its Japanese sixth volume, published in 2021. She creates the in-story manga Tokyo Blade and joins the stage-adaptation storyline as its original author. This profile preserves her original adult portrayal.
02Personality and appeal
Abiko struggles with social situations but has strong convictions about the characters she draws. When her manga becomes a play, changes to their personalities are difficult for her to accept. Her blunt criticism at rehearsals expresses her commitment to the work while making collaboration harder.
03Story journey
Stage-arc spoilers: Abiko initially rejects the entire Tokyo Blade script, putting rehearsals in jeopardy. After seeing a play written by GOA, she begins to trust his abilities and collaborates with him on a rewrite. Their agreement produces a script that places demanding new expectations on the actors.
04Relationships
Yoriko Kichijouji mentored Abiko when she was an assistant and remains someone she relies on after becoming successful. During a deadline push, they draw together and argue openly about their frustrations. That exchange encourages Abiko to reconsider how she works with others and approach the theater team again.
05Versions and visual identity
The manga began in 2020 and the television anime in 2023, separate from Abiko’s evidenced 2021 manga appearance. Her design features layered dark-purple hair and violet eyes; the sixth-volume cover adds a striped high-neck layer. Ayane Sakura voices her in the anime. 06Fan interpretations
One reader interpretation sees Abiko’s story as a question about protecting a work while learning to understand collaborators. This is a reading of the story, rather than a definitive author statement. The series retains a recent audience: its anime website celebrated one million followers on the official X account in July 2026.
