ABOUT Barbara Pegg / 01—0601First appearance and background
Barbara is a launch-era playable character from Genshin Impact in 2020. A deaconess of Mondstadt’s Church of Favonius and a popular idol, she supports people through both healing and song.
02Personality and appeal
She wants everyone to smile, but her optimism does not mean she never tires. Admiration for her older sister also creates pressure; singing gives her a personal strength and a way to encourage people on her own terms.
03Story journey
Her Hangout Event involves taking a break, collecting ingredients and dealing with followers. The Traveler’s choices change events and endings, showing the appeal of her idol role alongside her need for personal space.
04Relationships
Jean is her older sister, and they serve Mondstadt in different public roles. Alice introduces the idea of idols that inspires her, while the Traveler helps with everyday difficulties in her Hangout; these are distinct kinds of support.
05Versions and visual identity
Her default design combines pale blond twin tails, blue-and-white clothing and a church-inspired headpiece. She uses Hydro and a catalyst. Summertime Sparkle, introduced in version 1.6, is a separate official summer outfit.
06Fan interpretations
Fans can read her performances as an extension of care: singing complements rather than erases her church duties. This thematic reading does not make every admirer a romantic partner or suggest that she lives without worries.
