ABOUT Noa Izumi / 01—0601First appearance and background
The profile starts with the 1988 early OVA, whose first volume was released April 25. The 1989 TV continuity is distinct from the early OVA and films; their events should not all be placed on one timeline.
02Personality and appeal
Damage to her machine upsets her, yet she is skilled at precise movements. Mechanical enthusiasm does not mean recklessness: her reluctance to fire contrasts sharply with Ohta’s gun-first approach.
03Story journey
From Hokkaido, she joins SV2 Division 2’s Unit 1 team. Cases involving Labors sit alongside maintenance, training and workplace friction, so her growth is not limited to major battles.
04Relationships
Asuma Shinohara is her team commander and partner, not a confirmed husband. Hiromi Yamazaki provides carrier support; Kiichi Goto commands Division 2 and is not her father.
05Versions and visual identity
Alphonse is her nickname for the Labor, reused from former pets, not a secret lover. Precise piloting does not mean the machine contains her soul. Models and leisure scenes in these portraits are fan art.
06Fan interpretations
A rewarding reading is that she treats an industrial machine as a companion while accepting its public-service purpose. Caring for it and fulfilling duties give the mecha story everyday warmth. This is interpretation, not a confirmed exclusive theme.
