ABOUT Towa Amane / 01—0601First appearance and background
Towa Amane is a player in Shangri-La Frontier whose in-game name is Arthur Pencilgon. The manga has been serialized since 2020; the work also has a web novel and an anime that began in 2023, and this page uses the manga’s timeline.
02Personality and appeal
She is adept at observing rules and opponents, and is often calculating her next move even while chatting and laughing. Her sharp judgment can coexist with an easygoing social manner; being skilled at strategy should not simply be equated with doing nothing but betraying others.
03Story journey
Across different games, she both competes and cooperates with Sunraku and others, and joins them in tackling difficult objectives. Her real-life occupation and her actions in games are separate aspects of her identity; her in-game name is not her real name.
04Relationships
Rakuro Hizutome corresponds to Sunraku, and Kei Uomi to Oikatzo; together with her, they form an important group of players. Cooperation between characters does not imply a real-life marriage, and Arthur Pencilgon is not a separate person from her.
05Versions and visual identity
Her portrait should primarily depict the long blue hair and mature air of her real-life model identity; game equipment can appear in scene illustrations. A pleased raised eyebrow, a look of calm calculation, and a smile she cannot suppress better suit the way she interacts with others.
06Fan interpretations
Fan interpretation: What makes Pencilgon unnerving is that she often realizes before others how the rules can be used. This interpretation is suitable for discussing her style as a player and should not be expanded into a backstory involving real-life crime.
