ABOUT Nemu Miyao / 01—06

01First appearance and background

Nemu debuts in manga chapter 15, “Cat Scout.” Shueisha’s official retrospective explicitly calls this her first appearance, and VIZ’s May 23, 2021 roundup lists that chapter. Her debut year is therefore 2021, checked separately from the manga’s February 2021 launch. Bylined ciatr coverage identifies her as a first-year girl at Matsuba High School; a numerical age is left unspecified.

02Personality and appeal

Much of Nemu’s drama happens inside her own head. In an official interview, Tomori Kusunoki describes the rapid early monologues in which Nemu sets up a joke, answers it herself, tries to recover and gets flustered again. Her composed appearance and busy thoughts create a distinctive comic rhythm.

03Story journey

Spoilers: Nemu initially approaches Morihito with a recruitment plan. In anime episode 11, she appears before Nico and Morihito and identifies herself as a witch. Episode 20 has her approach Keigo during his private flying-magic practice. These scenes bring her from solitary visits into the group’s interactions. This overview concerns that phase of the anime.

04Relationships

Morihito is the familiar she hopes to recruit, while Nico is a fellow witch. Relationship spoilers: Keigo’s flying practice in episode 20 gives him another connection with Nemu. Keep Keigo and his other personality, Wolf, distinct when following their story: the official profile identifies crescent-shaped objects as his trigger. These encounters alone do not establish a couple.

05Versions and visual identity

The design follows the official anime’s original girl form: long dark hair with violet tones, two hair loops on top and blue eyes. A white collar and cuffs accompany a long dark grey-green dress, fine gold trim and matching tie, with dark tights and loafers. Her wand has a blue ornament. The loops are styled hair, not literal cat ears. Preserve her high-school life stage. Site illustrations are unofficial AI-generated fan art, not official designs or anime stills.

06Fan interpretations

Fan interpretation: the gap between an elaborate conversation in her head and the difficulty of actually speaking can be read as a young person learning to connect. That is this page’s interpretation. Nemu appears in the October 2025 season-two announcement visual, and the official goods page lists her January 2026 Luminasta prize figure. These show continuing visibility, not a live popularity ranking.
