ABOUT Rio Nishio / 01—0601First appearance and background
Rio Nishio is a female classmate in Momokuri. This page records her appearance in the 2015 web anime version; the year of television broadcast and the timing of the original manga should be treated separately.
02Personality and appeal
She has an athletic briskness and directness, as well as feelings she finds hard to put into words. Her tall appearance contrasts visually with Momotsuki’s cute image, but that is no basis for portraying her as a male character.
03Story journey
Interactions at school bring her into contact with Momotsuki, Kurihara and others. The work conveys feelings through everyday interactions; not every expression of concern needs to be interpreted as the outcome of a confirmed romance.
04Relationships
Shinya Momotsuki and Yuki Kurihara are the couple in the story, while Rio has her own place within her classmate relationships and feelings. This page does not invent a marriage for any character that the original work has not confirmed.
05Versions and visual identity
Her dark short hair and athletic air are her main distinguishing features. The portrait depicts her as a student in natural everyday clothes; its live-action style is only a fan adaptation, not a still of an actor.
06Fan interpretations
Fan interpretation: Might someone who appears calm be more likely to express feelings through their actions? This is a way of looking at Rio’s interactions at school, not a premise involving mind-reading or a hidden identity.
