ABOUT Hotaru Tomoe / 01—0601First appearance and background
Hotaru appears in the Infinity arc, contrasting fragile health with Saturn’s power. Family and bodily circumstances are plot-critical; distinguish identity, exploitation and duty.
02Personality and appeal
Introverted and gentle, she wants ordinary friendship despite isolation through illness and unusual powers. Quietness still allows readable smiles, tears and refusal.
03Story journey
Destruction and rebirth frame her arc, alongside understanding and renewed life. Great power is not personality; Saturn’s duty does not make the child an adult.
04Relationships
Chibiusa’s friendship is crucial. Souichi Tomoe connects to the crisis; later outer-Guardian care forms new family ties, with the father’s fate varying by adaptation.
05Versions and visual identity
A dark bob, straight bangs, violet eyes and purple attire identify her. Rebirth-related ages require context; avatars keep a recognizable child and nonviolent framing.
06Fan interpretations
Fan discussion: is immense power entrusted to the gentlest person? A thematic contrast, not a measurable ranking. Friendship explains her appeal beyond destructive strength.
