Read or Die

Book-loving Yomiko Readman is drawn into missions connected to a library system through her ability to manipulate paper, contrasting her bookworm routine with action and adventure. The manga began in 1999, and the novels began publication in 2000. The OVA and television series each arrange their stories differently, and characters with related paper abilities do not necessarily belong to the same family.
