ABOUT Mimimi Utsukushisugi / 01—06

01First appearance and background

Mimimi joins the manga’s cast in chapter 39, whose Japanese title is “Utsukushisugi-senpai.” Jump+ lists the chapter under December 3, 2020, supporting her 2020 introduction year; that is the platform’s publication date. The manga by Rikito Nakamura and Yukiko Nozawa began in 2019.

02Personality and appeal

Praise makes Mimimi visibly happy, and she has no trouble acknowledging her own beauty. Shueisha’s profile places that pride beside the considerable effort behind it. Her exuberance has a practical foundation: looking beautiful is an achievement she celebrates and a pursuit she keeps working at.

03Story journey

[Spoilers] Anime episode 20 brings Mimimi’s history with Nano into the group. Having once lost a beauty contest to her, Mimimi proposes another contest with their place in Rentaro’s circle at stake. They take turns identifying the other girlfriends’ beautiful qualities, turning rivalry into a succession of compliments.

04Relationships

[Spoilers] Rentaro’s tenth girlfriend also notices the people around her. In a cast interview, Lynn describes Mimimi’s readiness to praise beauty in others, while Kanon Takao points to her kindness toward the shy Meme. Their observations invite a reading of her self-confidence as compatible with consideration for others.

05Versions and visual identity

The official anime design gives Mimimi very long, center-parted pale-blonde hair with curled ends and teal eyes. A white blouse, teal ribbon and fitted brown vest sit above a dark pleated skirt. These colors belong to the anime reference; any AI-rendered interpretation would remain unofficial fan art.

06Fan interpretations

The franchise continued meeting overseas fans in 2026. An official notice dated September 17 points to its August Anime NYC panel, where an English-design version of the third season’s main trailer premiered. This is a concrete record of international outreach, without providing a popularity ranking for Mimimi herself.
