ABOUT Jing Wei / 01—06

01First appearance and background

Jing Wei is the mythic-bird character in Yi Wang Kong Qi’s Fei Ren Zai, carrying the sea-filling legend into offices and modern city life. The comic began in 2015 and the animation in 2018; the source-series year does not establish an exact first character chapter. Her origin refers to Yan Di’s daughter Nüwa, written 女娃, which must not be confused with the creator goddess 女娲.

02Personality and appeal

Her persistence is very specific: water makes her want to add stones. A grand mythological mission becomes comic when transferred to a cup, fish tank or coworker’s belongings. She is gentle toward birds, yet kindness does not necessarily help her understand why others object to pebbles in their food. A soft expression paired with an unshakable habit gives her a distinct contrast without a manufactured tough persona.

03Story journey

Her episodes do not form a combat-leveling journey. Instead, the sea-filling habit repeatedly encounters new practical settings. Stones become a daily preoccupation, while “water” shrinks from the ocean to nearby containers. The interest lies in how one persistent idea produces different consequences. Treating every exaggerated gag as a rigid supernatural power specification misses the everyday comedy.

04Relationships

Hai Yan is her husband and often appears as a bird resting on her head; he should not be reduced to a pet or accessory. Jiu Yue, Xiao Yu, Ao Lie and Xiao Tian are coworkers. She is also friendly with the goddess Nüwa, but that does not turn her own original name 女娃 into 女娲. Family, office relationships and mythological origins need to be kept distinct, especially where romanized names sound similar.

05Versions and visual identity

Teal long hair, reddish tips, ribbons and nature-toned clothing help identify her. Her youthful visual design is treated with everyday, nonsexual styling throughout this page’s portraits and figures. Hai Yan on her head is a recurring scene, not a requirement for every image. Different artistic media can change texture and linework while preserving hair colors, ribbons and the small-scale feeling of pebble collecting.

06Fan interpretations

A useful reading is that she has not abandoned the legendary mission; modern life keeps shrinking its scale until persistence collides with common sense. This is an interpretation of the jokes, not a creator-announced secret. Reactions built around guarding pebbles, spotting a cup, worrying about a bird or getting sleepy can express her personality more clearly than a generic happy face applied to every character.
