ABOUT Electra / 01—0601First appearance and background
She debuted in the original 1990 TV anime as the Nautilus’s first officer, assisting Nemo. She is not an original character from Verne’s novel.
02Personality and appeal
Duty and discipline define her bridge manner, while Jean and the children reveal her caring side. Seriousness is not indifference; restrained concern and suppressed anger also shape her expressions.
03Story journey
Spoilers: she lost family in the Tartessos disaster and became Nemo’s subordinate after he rescued her. Gratitude and responsibility for the disaster collide as the past emerges, complicating loyalty.
04Relationships
Nemo is her rescuer, superior and romantic attachment, not her biological father. Jean recalls her deceased brother but is not related. Grandis is a romantic rival. A later pregnancy does not establish formal marriage.
05Versions and visual identity
Her early design has long blonde hair, blue eyes, brown skin and blue naval clothing. Later short hair and white clothing mark another story stage. This page uses the early design for fan artwork, not new official versions.
06Fan interpretations
A revealing contrast: the capable first officer struggles with mornings because of low blood pressure, as episode 20 shows. Her cabin also displays ukiyo-e by Hokusai and Sharaku. Calling her only a stern officer misses these everyday details, which also suit sleepy, need-a-break reactions.
