ABOUT Shenhe / 01—0601First appearance and background
Shenhe is an adeptal disciple from Liyue, introduced and made playable in version 2.4 in 2022. She explicitly identifies as human, born into a branch of an exorcist clan. Mountain seclusion does not make her a transformed crane or establish a numerical age.
02Personality and appeal
She resolves problems directly but needs time to understand social conventions. A distant manner coexists with serious responses to kindness and awkward care. Uncertainty about polite refusals, invitations and everyday disputes is more specific than a generic cold-but-gentle label.
03Story journey
Backstory spoilers: childhood abandonment by her father and surviving danger shape her bond with the human world. Training under adepti and later helping protect Liyue Harbor mark a movement from isolation toward connection. Her Cryo polearm form does not imply an absence of intense emotion.
04Relationships
Cloud Retainer is a central teacher. Ganyu shares a connection to that teacher but is not Shenhe’s biological sister. Chongyun is her nephew. She is willing to help his training yet unsure about the family’s enthusiastic invitations; kinship does not automatically mean comfortable everyday contact.
05Versions and visual identity
Silver-white hair, red cords, black-white clothing and pale eyes identify her. Quiet observation, a tentative smile and an earnest nod suit portraits; mountain clouds suit scenes. Red cords have a story role, not an invented romantic meaning. Fan images do not announce official outfits or products.
06Fan interpretations
A wordless comic might show her considering whom to answer at an enthusiastic gathering, then offering a small grateful nod. Social unfamiliarity, not lack of feeling, inspires it. The incident is invented; curiosity, surprise, protectiveness and modest happiness make usable chat reactions.
