Shinichi Kudo solves cases as Conan after his body becomes that of a child, while pursuing the Black Organization.
Detective Conan · Overview
01 / STORY
Gosho Aoyama’s Detective Conan manga began in 1994, followed by the TV anime in 1996. High-school detective Shinichi Kudo is physically reduced to a child after being forced to take APTX4869. Living with the Mouri family as Conan Edogawa, he solves cases while concealing his identity and investigating the Black Organization.
Cases interwoven with hidden identities
Individual cases introduce new clients and clues, while the Black Organization connects the drug, concealed identities and long-term investigation. The Mouri detective agency anchors Conan’s daily life; Agasa supplies inventions and support, and the Detective Boys provide a child-level perspective.
Ran and Ai follow different character paths
Ran connects Mouri family life, her bond with Shinichi and karate. Ai connects drug research, her organizational past and a new life under Agasa’s protection. Their importance comes from distinct skills and circumstances: Ran is not the drug’s developer, and Ai is not a daughter of the Mouri household.
Manga, TV anime and film context
This page emphasizes the familiar premise shared by the manga and TV anime. Films contribute cases and interactions, but claims about identity revelations, romance milestones or organization membership need the relevant manga chapter or anime episode. A single film encounter is not treated as a permanent series-wide relationship.
